Brucci Heavenly Julia w/ Pure Ice Busted

I have already mentioned my love for Brucci's formula a few times, and this polish is no exception. The only thing is that Jenni Lee over at http://irelishnailpolish.blogspot.com/ brought to light something that I had never even considered when purchasing nail polish. Is it tested on animals?? That's something that I never think twice of when buying anything, actually. I haven't done any research on the company yet, but it has made me think twice now when I'm in a store looking at cosmetics. So, I thank you for that Jenni Lee! Lol and I mean that in a good way. It really isn't difficult at all to take a few seconds to look for that cruelty free symbol, which is usually a cute little rabbit on the back or bottom of the packaging.

This is Heavenly Julia and it was a one coater. Amazing, yup. I'm always amazed with one coaters, but before you purchase it, you might want to look into making sure that they are a cruelty free brand. Sorry, I didn't do my homework in advance! =(

Here it is with one coat of Pure Ice Busted! This polish was sent to my by Eileen over at http://sneakerette.blogspot.com/. Once again, thanks! This polish is truly magical!

Ok, now I have to go... I told my kids they had 30 minutes to play before I put them to bed. It's been 10 minutes and they already want to go to bed. What kids WANT to go to bed??? They're just a couple of weirdos! ^_^

Brucci Bare Essentials

I just can't get over how awesome Brucci nail polishes are. This is the third one I try and I'm so impressed with the formula in their polishes that it makes me want to buy even more! Not that I need to, since I have about 14 that are still untried. I went a little crazy hauling these from Image Beauty because they were only $2.35! You can't get much better than that when it comes to nail polish.

Bare Essentials is a sheer milky nude with pink undertones. You can get away with three coats on this one if you don't mind VNL, but I prefer my polishes opaque so I used four coats. This could be a great shade for a mannequin mani for someone with a lighter skintone, however on me it just serves as a palette cleanser. Oh, and excuse the shiny hands. I had just finished moisturizing my cuticles with my Qtica cuticle balm. I usually wait until the shine goes away to take pics, but I was on my way out when I did this mani.

I can't say that all Brucci polishes are awesome, but the three that I have tried have been exactly that. I was told in a comment by Jenni Lee that Brucci is mainly sold in NY, NJ and PA, so if you are not in that area you can try out www.discountbeautycenter.com. That's the website for Image Beauty and Brucci retails for $2.35 there. The only bad thing is that not all of the polishes have pictures, so you are taking a risk on what you will get if you order just by name. Like Gianna's "Rockin" Blue wasn't blue at all. Lol, it was more of a teal aqua color, but I still liked it. ^_^

Brucci Black Emerald

Brucci is a brand I had never tried or even heard about up until a few weeks ago. I also have never seen this brand at any store, but they are available on Imagebeauty.com for just 2.35 each. So, I took the plunge and ordered a whole bunch of them since they were so friggin' cheap! I honestly didn't expect a lot and I certainly didn't expect to be surprised like I was when I opened up the box. Two of the polishes I ordered are duochrome!

Black Emerald is incredibly beautiful. It's an emerald green shimmer polish with burgundy duochrome. In the bottle you can sometimes see a gold shade, but that doesn't transfer to the nail. Still, I loved this polish! I used two coats with a coat of Seche Vite. I don't know if these polishes are three free, but it didn't smell like it. It seemed like any other polish to me.

I actually ordered a few more Brucci polishes after I received my first order. I haven't tried any of the other ones, but the colors are so beautiful and they were only 2.35. I just can't get over how cheap they were. The cremes look so scrumptious and I really hope they are as awesome to apply as the look in the bottle. ^_^
