I can't believe time has passed by so quickly. I know it's been quite some time since I did a post. The reason why I pretty much stopped blogging, tweeting and anything to do with nails was because it was kind of starting to take over my life. Ok. So maybe that was a bit dramatic, haha, but since it has been so long since I last blogged I'm going to ease myself back by at least doing one post a week. Starting with a couple of random pictures. Yes, I know picture quality is lacking but these were either taken with my phone or tablet.</span></div>

Although, I'm still not overly thrilled with them. Maybe it's me. I seem to be in some kind of nail polish slump. New collections are just meh, and I have no desire to go out and buy them. I would usually go out of my way to pick up new collections, but lately I don't even feel the urge to look at swatches. I'm even contemplating a blog sale to downsize my collection. Crazy! I suppose it's just a phase I'm going through which hopefully subside sooner than later.<br />
<br />
<div align="center">This is Jelly. It is a taupe polish with purple/blue shimmer, but the shimmer isn't visible under normal lighting. I used three coats.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RDC5I-dXf3Y/TyATp62ZnXI/AAAAAAAABkU/zWwYhk1Y3bw/s1600/Nail+Blog+037.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-RDC5I-dXf3Y/TyATp62ZnXI/AAAAAAAABkU/zWwYhk1Y3bw/s400/Nail+Blog+037.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div align="center"><br />

Groovy is a clear base with holographic bar glitter and small, purple glitter. I loved this one, but that's just me being partial to bar glitter. If it has bar glitter, I am more likely than not to love it. I used one coat over two coats of OPI A Grape Fit!. Sorry about the flooding on my ring finger, I didn't notice it until today when I was reviewing the pics.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LqmhXGEinss/TyCc9wSjxhI/AAAAAAAABlM/3p-5gVpOW_I/s1600/012.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LqmhXGEinss/TyCc9wSjxhI/AAAAAAAABlM/3p-5gVpOW_I/s400/012.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-btnoSCW7sck/TyCc5MOdCOI/AAAAAAAABlE/c5d6ImOM2M0/s1600/005.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-btnoSCW7sck/TyCc5MOdCOI/AAAAAAAABlE/c5d6ImOM2M0/s400/005.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Here it is with no flash. A Grape Fit isn't as bright as it looks in the pics above, or blue for that matter. These pictures resemble the color better, but the color is still a bit off.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-V7mAqv3ewIo/TyCdBeqp_QI/AAAAAAAABlU/SG50CbdwnyM/s1600/014.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-V7mAqv3ewIo/TyCdBeqp_QI/AAAAAAAABlU/SG50CbdwnyM/s400/014.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

I'm not sure what to think of my new Canon EOS Rebel T3. Most of the pics I take come out way off in color. I think my old Sony Cybershot takes better pics sometimes. Maybe it's just my lighting? I took some really awesome pics over the weekend at the aquarium and those are color accurate... Probably just user error. ^_^</div>Lindahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08796442272873185732noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7456293708353868540.post-12016746973864589272012-01-24T21:08:00.000-06:002012-01-24T21:08:55.922-06:00Revlon Street Wear in Exposed and Chick I don't know why I keep waiting to the end of the day to post. I'm tired and sleepy and really don't feel like typing. To top it off I just painted my nails. Why did I start a new mani knowing I had to go to sleep soon? I seem to be doing this more and more often. I NEED to be asleep by at least eight so I can get enough sleep. Oh well. C'est la vie! The polishes in today's post aren't really my thing. They are both frosts. I'm not a big fan of frosts because they do not hide brushstrokes well. It doesn't matter how hard you try there will always be some visible brushstrokes. <br />
<br />
<div align="center">This is Exposed. It is a brown shimmery frost. I didn't like the color nor the finish so this is definitely going to my swap list. I used three coats for this one.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-19RzRHAHvXk/Tx9se2YBrVI/AAAAAAAABjc/T0UivhKJK6s/s1600/Nail+Blog+024.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-19RzRHAHvXk/Tx9se2YBrVI/AAAAAAAABjc/T0UivhKJK6s/s400/Nail+Blog+024.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WNfxvEMvF3M/Tx9siFEHi4I/AAAAAAAABjk/AyQnf4riwXM/s1600/Nail+Blog+022.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WNfxvEMvF3M/Tx9siFEHi4I/AAAAAAAABjk/AyQnf4riwXM/s400/Nail+Blog+022.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I'm on the fence on this one. I loved the color, but the frost finish is a deterrent for me. I liked that it dried to a satin finish, but it's still a frost. This one took four coats.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MhAPc-3uU4s/Tx9sl6VKM7I/AAAAAAAABjs/F9K-AOuoRWc/s1600/Nail+Blog+003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MhAPc-3uU4s/Tx9sl6VKM7I/AAAAAAAABjs/F9K-AOuoRWc/s400/Nail+Blog+003.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UBSvzxrD2oQ/Tx9vhIi-dII/AAAAAAAABkM/5q4jBK07rfc/s1600/Nail+Blog+008.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UBSvzxrD2oQ/Tx9vhIi-dII/AAAAAAAABkM/5q4jBK07rfc/s400/Nail+Blog+008.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"> All photos were taken with no flash. I really thought I was going to like the Street Wears more than I do, but I also don't have any of the really good ones like Toad or October 31st. Those are amazing and are incredibly hard to come across. I do have high hopes for Burnt and Dijon though. I love those fugly colors. ^_^</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

All week I will be posting two of them daily, except for today. I only have Charming for you today. It's a slightly blue/purple duochrome base with tons of silver glitter. <br />
<br />
<div align="center">This is four coat of Charming with no top coat. I initially thought it would be grainy with all the silver glitter, but it's actually quite smooth and glossy on it's own.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0QM5Lfr4KnI/Tx321TZBX9I/AAAAAAAABjE/kxs5M_gV3ps/s1600/Nail+Blog+026.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0QM5Lfr4KnI/Tx321TZBX9I/AAAAAAAABjE/kxs5M_gV3ps/s400/Nail+Blog+026.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

I was able to get this polish of a polishsale that theasiangirl was having and it was only $5! To me that's cheap considering these aren't made anymore. I loved the color and finish of the polish, but I just wished the duochrome was a bit more visible on the nail. ^_^Lindahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08796442272873185732noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7456293708353868540.post-10343786497439249772012-01-20T22:19:00.002-06:002012-01-20T22:24:22.704-06:00China Glaze Live in Colour Contest on Facebook I thought if you guys didn't know about this, you should! Ok, maybe not the first thing, but you get my drift. I wasn't sure how it would turn out because I haven't tried layering Snow Angel over any other color except white, so it was sort of an experiment when I began. I had thought of maybe doing Connect the Dots, but I'm sure you guys are tired of me posting on that polish! Anyways, my experiment proved successful! I was extremely pleased to see how nice both colors looked together once I started layering. I'll admit it now, but I've been slacking and posting over on MUA ever since I got home. I tell you that because I posted this combo over there and 'laurenli' said it looked like 'snowy spring'. Her description was spot on! It really does look like grass that is starting to sprout, yet still has snow surrounding it.<br />

I think I'll be posting Lynnderella's with more frequency because I still have quite a few that are untried. ^_^Lindahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08796442272873185732noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7456293708353868540.post-29056400877706305622012-01-19T21:10:00.000-06:002012-01-19T21:10:33.003-06:00Dior Waterlily So, this is me giving a brand I want to love a second chance. I was pretty sure I wouldn't but anymore Dior polishes, but I just had to pick up this amazing shade from their spring collection. It's a minty shimmery polish, and the really special thing about is that it's scented! Yes, I know there are many scented polishes nowadays. The reason why it's special to me is because it is supposed to be rose scented. If there was one thing that I could smell 24/7, it would definitely be the smell of rose petals. Weird? Maybe, just a tad.<br />
<br />
I wore the polish for a few hours now and it really does smell like rose petals! It actually took my surprise because when I was first applying the polish it had a different scent to it. It smelled like a lighter version of Nivea lotion, but then that went away and it just smelled like potpourri. I wasn't thrilled with that at all and was a bit bummed, but then as I was washing my face I caught the scent of fresh rose petals! I think that it was probably just too strong of a scent at the beginning and as the hours passed the scent became muted. <br />
<div align="center"><br />
</div><div align="center">All these pictures were taken with flash and I used three coats of Waterlily with one coat of NYC Grand Central Station. The formula was better on this one, but it still was a bit thick. I had to work fast, although not crazy fast like with Tuxedo. The one thing that was bad was the bit of bubbling that came out from time to time. I think Dior polishes just take a bit more work than other polishes, and I guess I am willing to take the extra work because I love the colors I have so far.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zPBujnced_I/TxjT9lKWzUI/AAAAAAAABiA/4ijrLhgLgvY/s1600/Nail+Blog+084.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zPBujnced_I/TxjT9lKWzUI/AAAAAAAABiA/4ijrLhgLgvY/s400/Nail+Blog+084.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

Well, I have a pretty amazing one to show you guys today. I originally received this polish as an extra during Lynnderella's first sale, but never posted it's actual name because I didn't know what it was called. Lynnderella later told me that the name of the polish was Change, and I never got around to updating my post. I originally swatched it over Orly Luxe and while I loved that combo, I knew this polish had much better potential. That potential was reached for me when I received this Skin Food polish that I bought from a fellow polish lover. I didn't really even want this polish, but she was offering six polishes for $20 and who can resist a deal like that?? As soon as I took it out I knew I had to layer Change over it.<br />
<br />
<div align="center"><br />
</div><div align="center">I just got around to doing that combo tonight and it was a layering success! I used three coats of Skin Food BR611. This is a dark chocolatey polish with so much shimmer that it applies as if it was a frost finish. It really showed the brush strokes on the first and second coats, but since the color is so dark the strokes were hardly visible on the third coat.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-u-WvDQLD1ys/TxeBinsVpkI/AAAAAAAABgQ/XJ0A366VoTo/s1600/Nail+Blog+086.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-u-WvDQLD1ys/TxeBinsVpkI/AAAAAAAABgQ/XJ0A366VoTo/s400/Nail+Blog+086.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HFfEsITPJF8/TxeBknTYLDI/AAAAAAAABgY/abXmP9yWvNY/s1600/Nail+Blog+089.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-HFfEsITPJF8/TxeBknTYLDI/AAAAAAAABgY/abXmP9yWvNY/s400/Nail+Blog+089.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NS7-imjJm-8/TxeBmZk_U6I/AAAAAAAABgg/ZUbhMbL0r2A/s1600/Nail+Blog+092.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NS7-imjJm-8/TxeBmZk_U6I/AAAAAAAABgg/ZUbhMbL0r2A/s400/Nail+Blog+092.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">On to the only reason you probably even clicked on this post! This is one coat of Lynnderella Change over Skin Food BR611. I loved this combination because the chocolatey polish keeps the warm tones found in Change, yet it brings out in the shimmer in the base because it's a dark polish. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Pxx71z2FA9o/TxeByeqNqSI/AAAAAAAABgo/dsHfEJ_6aeE/s1600/Nail+Blog+102.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Pxx71z2FA9o/TxeByeqNqSI/AAAAAAAABgo/dsHfEJ_6aeE/s400/Nail+Blog+102.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

I am anxiously awaiting for Lynnderella to go live with her first sale of the year, since I have some catching up to do on her previous collection and her new collection is... Well, why don't you just take a look for yourself? <a href="http://lynnderella-lynnderella.blogspot.com/">http://lynnderella-lynnderella.blogspot.com/</a> ^_^Lindahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08796442272873185732noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7456293708353868540.post-33079837200395756402012-01-17T20:52:00.000-06:002012-01-17T20:52:29.556-06:00Brucci Heavenly Julia w/ Pure Ice Busted I have already mentioned my love for Brucci's formula a few times, and this polish is no exception. The only thing is that Jenni Lee over at <a href="http://irelishnailpolish.blogspot.com/">http://irelishnailpolish.blogspot.com/</a> brought to light something that I had never even considered when purchasing nail polish. Is it tested on animals?? That's something that I never think twice of when buying anything, actually. I haven't done any research on the company yet, but it has made me think twice now when I'm in a store looking at cosmetics. So, I thank you for that Jenni Lee! Lol and I mean that in a good way. It really isn't difficult at all to take a few seconds to look for that cruelty free symbol, which is usually a cute little rabbit on the back or bottom of the packaging. <br />
<br />
<div align="center">This is Heavenly Julia and it was a one coater. Amazing, yup. I'm always amazed with one coaters, but before you purchase it, you might want to look into making sure that they are a cruelty free brand. Sorry, I didn't do my homework in advance! =(</div><div align="center"></div><div align="center"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> <a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HPCURAkDIcs/TxSydEitVqI/AAAAAAAABfY/P0gOYM41Im0/s1600/Nail+Blog+066.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HPCURAkDIcs/TxSydEitVqI/AAAAAAAABfY/P0gOYM41Im0/s400/Nail+Blog+066.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

I actually even ordered some more plates and I'm very excited to get to use those. Pacific Blue is one the most gorgeous blues I have ever seen. It's my favorite blue polish that I own, but I hardly wear it because it stains really, really bad. I always end up with smurf fingers at the time of removal. However, I just recently started wearing CND Stickey as a basecoat and can I just say WOW? CND Stickey is the best basecoat I have tried so far. My nails had no staining whatsoever once I took off my polish. That's right. No smurf fingers!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I used two coats of Pacific Blue and stamped with Wet n' Wild Black Creme using Red Angel plate RA - 113.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LOIV80I_S6w/TxN41BsiL9I/AAAAAAAABfQ/DC0_JwiAyT4/s1600/Nail+Blog+241.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LOIV80I_S6w/TxN41BsiL9I/AAAAAAAABfQ/DC0_JwiAyT4/s400/Nail+Blog+241.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

This is my favorite stamping mani I have done so far, even though it was far from perfect. I was using the stamper wrong by starting in the middle. The way I was doing it is only good for perhaps smaller images. For full images it is best to start on one side then end on the other. For great stamping tips and ideas you should visit <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/soguesswhat11">http://www.youtube.com/user/soguesswhat11</a>. She really is awesome with the stamper and loved watching her videos even before I owned any plates. ^_^Lindahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08796442272873185732noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7456293708353868540.post-80077301100895917152012-01-14T18:57:00.000-06:002012-01-14T18:57:54.403-06:00Deborah Lippmann Juicy Couture Metals: Believe, Jewel In the Crown and Here Comes the Queen Today is the last day of Deborah Lippmann week and these are the last of Deborah Lippmann polishes that I will post, for awhile at least. I bought this set on Juicy Couture's website for a little under $17 shipped last year. The bottles were what caught my attention and I couldn't resist the cute tops especially since they were on sale. The set includes two Juicy Couture exclusives and one other polish from Deborah's core line. Here Comes the Queen and Jewel In the Crown are the exclusives and believe is part of the core line for Deborah Lippmann's polishes. <br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This is Jewel In the Crown. It's pretty much just a grey pearly color. To me it isn't anything special, but I was impressed with the formula. </div><div style="text-align: center;">My favorite one out of all three is Believe. It's a pearly white and gold foil, but it mostly looks white to me. I liked the look of this one so much that I just had to wear it after I finished swatching. I used two coats for this one with no topcoat.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UnipdBuGcoo/TxIcsfRoaVI/AAAAAAAABdw/EM1SOQFlBNs/s1600/Nail+Blog+196.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UnipdBuGcoo/TxIcsfRoaVI/AAAAAAAABdw/EM1SOQFlBNs/s400/Nail+Blog+196.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I topped it off with Here Comes the Queen, but once again it just changed the color of the polish. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Here Comes the Queen piqued my attention as soon as I saw that it was a gold flakie. I just wasn't happy with it though. I didn't like it layered nor on it's own, but maybe it was just the layering combos that I didn't like. I'll have to try it over a navy or even burgundy polish later. I used three coats on it for the pictures below.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Q1vy3JlGD_E/TxIc6wyUvvI/AAAAAAAABeg/pYPNxhH1Zq8/s1600/Nail+Blog+216.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Q1vy3JlGD_E/TxIc6wyUvvI/AAAAAAAABeg/pYPNxhH1Zq8/s400/Nail+Blog+216.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

The only polish that I think is worth getting is Believe. I don't have any foils that come close to it. Other than that, I really think this set was a bust. At least I didn't pay full price for it. ^_^<br />

Again. I'm truly sorry for having stayed up late for yet another Grey's Anatomy marathon. I just can't help it and I don't believe I will stop until I finish all available episodes on Hulu. At least these polishes are totally worth the wait. Believe me. These are some really unique duochromes, well unique in my stash. These are no longer available on Barneys.com, but you can call your local Barney stores to see if they still have them in stock. That's what I did and was able to pick up all three. So, let's get started because it's a loooong post!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Dark Fantasy is the one that I wanted the least, but figured I would pick it up anyways since I don't have any red duos. I actually wouldn't call it red now, though. It's more of a burgundy with a bit of a gold flash. I only used two coats for this one with no topcoat and it had a very smooth application with hardly any brush strokes visible.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZFJFU2ZUuS4/Tw9-2tRijDI/AAAAAAAABag/Q9B82ivfseU/s1600/Nail+Blog+117.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZFJFU2ZUuS4/Tw9-2tRijDI/AAAAAAAABag/Q9B82ivfseU/s400/Nail+Blog+117.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

Ah... this was the one I was most interested in getting. The Future Is Yours is a light blue, shimmer duochrome. I love this one very, very much. It's got a really nice subtle and feminine feel to it even though it's blue. This was one had the thinnest formula of all. I used four coats, but my free edge is still visible. I recommend layering this one over darker colors to prevent using so many coats.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8EHygeI7BUw/Tw9_I0hP9GI/AAAAAAAABbQ/NO4I0lyDGqQ/s1600/Nail+Blog+119.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8EHygeI7BUw/Tw9_I0hP9GI/AAAAAAAABbQ/NO4I0lyDGqQ/s400/Nail+Blog+119.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

Now I know I said I loved The Future Is Yours, but there aren't enough words to express my feelings on Money Now Sleep Later. This is an aqua/teal duochrome with a slight purple-looking flash. I used three coats for this one, but the third coat had to be applied with care to prevent it from having too many brushstrokes. This one looks really good without undies, but you can mimize usage by layering it. The day I got this polish I used it over Orly Stone Cold and the glittery finish in Stone Cold made it look amazing! I'll have to redo that mani so that I can post a pic of it later on.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6QjyDYV-xXM/Tw9_ZTsgQcI/AAAAAAAABcI/3LH6tUznRJo/s1600/Nail+Blog+145.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6QjyDYV-xXM/Tw9_ZTsgQcI/AAAAAAAABcI/3LH6tUznRJo/s400/Nail+Blog+145.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

I started watching it awhile ago, and now I'm on season 7. I tried to stop after two episodes, but it was like potato chips! I couldn't have just one and ended up staying pretty late. So, here I am writing this post and still watching Grey's. <br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">On to polish though, I have an older Deborah Lippmann polish that came out in 2007. It's called I Want Candy and it's a sheer red jelly. I know all jelly's are technically sheer, but this one is incredibly sheer and goes on pink with the first two coats. On the third coat, however, it starts looking a bit more like a red jelly. The next three pictures all have three coats with no topcoat.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BcQWWNnp_K4/Tw9iSu_jwHI/AAAAAAAABY4/JA5ynOeff70/s1600/Nail+Blog+136.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BcQWWNnp_K4/Tw9iSu_jwHI/AAAAAAAABY4/JA5ynOeff70/s400/Nail+Blog+136.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

I thought I would put them together in a post so you can see for yourself how amazing both of these polishes are in their own way. <br />
<br />
<div align="center">Lady Sings the Blues is a navy blue jelly base with silver hex glitter and small silver glitter as well. I used two coats with a coat of Seche Vite to make it nice and smooth.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-T7-IUEVGqCs/TwzVWJplVhI/AAAAAAAABYI/VWgGvI0_DJo/s1600/Nail+Blog+095.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-T7-IUEVGqCs/TwzVWJplVhI/AAAAAAAABYI/VWgGvI0_DJo/s400/Nail+Blog+095.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LWAo_yA0pDg/TwzVY4-3aRI/AAAAAAAABYQ/TRIUv_2iR2A/s1600/Nail+Blog+098.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LWAo_yA0pDg/TwzVY4-3aRI/AAAAAAAABYQ/TRIUv_2iR2A/s400/Nail+Blog+098.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GYCq2sr-DzQ/TwzVdX2h4UI/AAAAAAAABYY/yrEQroSc4WU/s1600/Nail+Blog+105.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GYCq2sr-DzQ/TwzVdX2h4UI/AAAAAAAABYY/yrEQroSc4WU/s400/Nail+Blog+105.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Across the Universe on the other hand has a bright blue jelly base with green, silver glitter and small silver glitter in there as well. I love this polish as much for the name as I do for the contents in the polish. This polish had a thinner formula than LStB, so I had to use three coats with a coat of Seche Vite.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7v19q40IhDI/TwzVjUMKeeI/AAAAAAAABYg/UG9qWgKApIs/s1600/Nail+Blog+115.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7v19q40IhDI/TwzVjUMKeeI/AAAAAAAABYg/UG9qWgKApIs/s400/Nail+Blog+115.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AnMFHhbj6O0/TwzVl4YP5wI/AAAAAAAABYo/N68V5uzIeSw/s1600/Nail+Blog+117.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AnMFHhbj6O0/TwzVl4YP5wI/AAAAAAAABYo/N68V5uzIeSw/s400/Nail+Blog+117.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sVuD8xeo2d4/TwzVuegHwZI/AAAAAAAABYw/oGYPF1SwGMY/s1600/Nail+Blog+132.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sVuD8xeo2d4/TwzVuegHwZI/AAAAAAAABYw/oGYPF1SwGMY/s400/Nail+Blog+132.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"> The really neat thing about both of these polishes is that you have an instant jelly sandwich without having to do any layering. So, it's practically a jelly sandwich in a bottle! ^_^</div>Lindahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08796442272873185732noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7456293708353868540.post-69644547052803725232012-01-10T05:50:00.003-06:002012-01-10T05:50:00.256-06:00Deborah Lippmann Stairway to Heaven I think, no I know that I have been amassing more polishes than I have time to swatch or wear, but it's so difficult to refrain from buying polishes with so many collections coming out. Especially when they are marked as limited edition. I have decided to give up on trying to go on no buys, low buys etc., and just buy what I want when I want. I'm sure one day my addiction will diminish and I'll then be able to enjoy my polishes a bit more. However, if it wasn't for my addiction and my random hauls I wouldn't have so many pretties to look at, or wear. Stairway to Heaven was part of a retail therapy haul I did a few months back, but hadn't gotten around to wearing it. I was curious to see how it would look over a few colors, so I swatched it over three different polishes.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">This is Stairway to Heaven on it's own. I used three coats and I wouldn't ever actually wear it like this because you can see a yellow tinge at the tips where my nails are stained. I also don't really like the look of random glitter without a base color. What is really unique about this polish is that it also has square glitter in addition to the hexagonal iridescent glitter in a milky base. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-koe_5MTRlSs/Twt3_oLFg4I/AAAAAAAABXw/zNwWQTddLH8/s1600/Nail+Blog+034.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-koe_5MTRlSs/Twt3_oLFg4I/AAAAAAAABXw/zNwWQTddLH8/s400/Nail+Blog+034.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

This was my favorite combination. I used one coat of Stairway to Heaven over two coats of Edge of Glory base color with a coat of Seche Vite on top. I was a bit iffy to try Stairway to Heaven over a darker color because I was scared that the milky base would mess with the integrity of the base color. My initial thoughts were right, but it actually wasn't too bad and I loved the combo the more I looked at it. I liked how the dark polish brought out all the different colors in the iridescent glitter a lot more than a neutral polish did.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--Km3ontxllE/TwtwxuekYyI/AAAAAAAABXQ/JQolDZydvYw/s1600/Nail+Blog+089.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--Km3ontxllE/TwtwxuekYyI/AAAAAAAABXQ/JQolDZydvYw/s400/Nail+Blog+089.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8hhA2v0j5Zs/Twt3UzAYz_I/AAAAAAAABXg/FGgti0WRo1c/s1600/Nail+Blog+085.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8hhA2v0j5Zs/Twt3UzAYz_I/AAAAAAAABXg/FGgti0WRo1c/s400/Nail+Blog+085.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_YcS0bjsWU0/Twt3ZfUfOgI/AAAAAAAABXo/mDWFax-kv9s/s1600/Nail+Blog+091.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_YcS0bjsWU0/Twt3ZfUfOgI/AAAAAAAABXo/mDWFax-kv9s/s400/Nail+Blog+091.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div> The next time I try out this polish will be with a shimmery, midnight blue polish, because I think it would be nice to see all these colors mixed in with a shimmery base. I believe this polish was $18.00 and is still available at <a href="http://lippmanncollection.stores.yahoo.net/allproducts.html">http://lippmanncollection.stores.yahoo.net/allproducts.html</a>. I would suggest you sign up for her newsletter on her website, because she does offer deals and specials quite often. They are not all awesome deals, but they are decent and she even offers free full size bottles of polish from time to time with purchase. ^_^Lindahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08796442272873185732noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7456293708353868540.post-65291711676431262802012-01-09T10:08:00.000-06:002012-01-09T10:08:52.853-06:00Deborah Lippmann Waking Up In Vegas and Naked When I was first introduced to Deborah Lippmann it was because of her amazing glitters, but I never gave much thought to her other finishes. The only reason why I picked up Waking Up In Vegas and Naked was because it came in a set with Happy Birthday and a really cool rollup bag onHSN.com. I haven't used the rollup bag yet, but that's cute packaging for you.. or me. <br />
<br />
<div align="center">Waking Up In Vegas is a light grey creme with beige undertones. The formula was a bit thick, but not too thick where it was impossible to use. I used two coats with a coat of Seche Vite.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--IC9G7soUwc/TwsFMmjIsbI/AAAAAAAABVY/iVIvalP0iks/s1600/Nail+Blog+161.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--IC9G7soUwc/TwsFMmjIsbI/AAAAAAAABVY/iVIvalP0iks/s400/Nail+Blog+161.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;">Naked is hands down my favorite nude of all the nudes I have tried. </div> The only thing that about these polishes is that they retail for $16.00 each, so they are quite pricey but worth it in my opinion. I apologize for the short posts and late post from yesterday, but I have been sick to stomach since yesterday. No idea what the cause is, but it seems to be a 24-48 hour bug that has been going around. I am feeling better today, but still weak and nauseous so I think I'll go back to bed now. ^_^Lindahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08796442272873185732noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7456293708353868540.post-68403951466128560062012-01-08T05:23:00.000-06:002012-01-09T09:13:36.732-06:00Lady Gaga Edge of Glory by Deborah Lippmann This is a Barney's exclusive set that came out during the holidays and retailed for $40.00. It comes with Edge of Glory base color, which is just a plain black creme, and a multi-colored flakie Edge of Glory holographic top coat. I really have no idea what Deborah Lippmann was thinking when she came up with the idea to name this top coat as a holographic polish because we all know the difference between a holographic and flakie polish. <br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"> Edge of Glory base color was actually a pretty good black creme. The first coat seemed a bit thin and streaky, but it was opaque with the second coat. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LBxWoIAdf9U/TwoxxTexF1I/AAAAAAAABUg/puVuUrDQDQY/s1600/Nail+Blog+046.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LBxWoIAdf9U/TwoxxTexF1I/AAAAAAAABUg/puVuUrDQDQY/s400/Nail+Blog+046.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />

You actually don't need the set because you could easily recreate this look for less than $10.00 if you buy Wet n' Wild Black Creme and the new Finger Paints Asylum polish, but the reason why I bought this set was because of the packaging. This is the third one I try and I'm so impressed with the formula in their polishes that it makes me want to buy even more! Not that I need to, since I have about 14 that are still untried. I went a little crazy hauling these from Image Beauty because they were only $2.35! You can't get much better than that when it comes to nail polish. <br />
<br />
Bare Essentials is a sheer milky nude with pink undertones. You can get away with three coats on this one if you don't mind VNL, but I prefer my polishes opaque so I used four coats. This could be a great shade for a mannequin mani for someone with a lighter skintone, however on me it just serves as a palette cleanser. Oh, and excuse the shiny hands. I had just finished moisturizing my cuticles with my Qtica cuticle balm. I usually wait until the shine goes away to take pics, but I was on my way out when I did this mani. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-E3G-MJ7n2I4/TwefUxFdw1I/AAAAAAAABUI/ZrdguQHMSyk/s1600/Nail+Blog+093.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-E3G-MJ7n2I4/TwefUxFdw1I/AAAAAAAABUI/ZrdguQHMSyk/s400/Nail+Blog+093.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-b1x0ibIMImc/TwefXJuB-FI/AAAAAAAABUQ/EyXGldiHVRI/s1600/Nail+Blog+090.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-b1x0ibIMImc/TwefXJuB-FI/AAAAAAAABUQ/EyXGldiHVRI/s400/Nail+Blog+090.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bQY1twdxS04/TwefZK9ltwI/AAAAAAAABUY/-4hcGZOhLm4/s1600/Nail+Blog+095.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bQY1twdxS04/TwefZK9ltwI/AAAAAAAABUY/-4hcGZOhLm4/s400/Nail+Blog+095.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
<br />
I can't say that all Brucci polishes are awesome, but the three that I have tried have been exactly that. I was told in a comment by Jenni Lee that Brucci is mainly sold in NY, NJ and PA, so if you are not in that area you can try out <a href="http://www.discountbeautycenter.com/">www.discountbeautycenter.com</a>. That's the website for Image Beauty and Brucci retails for $2.35 there. The only bad thing is that not all of the polishes have pictures, so you are taking a risk on what you will get if you order just by name. Like Gianna's "Rockin" Blue wasn't blue at all. Lol, it was more of a teal aqua color, but I still liked it. ^_^</div>Lindahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08796442272873185732noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7456293708353868540.post-40850477397237476982012-01-06T05:48:00.001-06:002012-01-06T17:10:28.999-06:00My First Fauxnad w/ Savvy Garland and Orly Luxe There were a couple of things that I forgot to mention on my previous December Hauls post. I have always been intrigued by fauxnading/konding, but never got around to ordering the plates or stamper. Well, I finally bit the bullet and ordered the Konad stamper and a set of Red Angel plates last month. I actually haven't played around with them much, but I did do a manicure with them the first week I got them. The issue I have with konading/fauxnading is that I get overwhelmed and can never decide on what polish combos to do. I ended up just picking random colors on this one and substituted my stamping polish several times, since the ones I picked initially didn't show up well.<br />
<br />
<div align="center">I started off with two coats of Savvy Garland. It's a beautiful dark green shimmer polish that I bought at Sally's last year.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-atNf4nXjrrM/TwY3Vdx46EI/AAAAAAAABTg/ZtKwjxi4qew/s1600/Nail+Blog+006.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-atNf4nXjrrM/TwY3Vdx46EI/AAAAAAAABTg/ZtKwjxi4qew/s400/Nail+Blog+006.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PhMM0o8Ut-0/TwY3Wcy5tWI/AAAAAAAABTo/qxej8SCkP7Y/s1600/Nail+Blog+003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PhMM0o8Ut-0/TwY3Wcy5tWI/AAAAAAAABTo/qxej8SCkP7Y/s400/Nail+Blog+003.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I then stamped over it using Red Angel plate RA-112 with Orly Luxe. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0LlKDh1lhio/TwY3lbXtZLI/AAAAAAAABTw/tAIO3ktccnU/s1600/Nail+Blog+009.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0LlKDh1lhio/TwY3lbXtZLI/AAAAAAAABTw/tAIO3ktccnU/s400/Nail+Blog+009.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vGoUckQ6ZG8/TwY3nioH9tI/AAAAAAAABT4/lohSlNtuci0/s1600/Nail+Blog+014.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vGoUckQ6ZG8/TwY3nioH9tI/AAAAAAAABT4/lohSlNtuci0/s400/Nail+Blog+014.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WgoKrWPWBd4/TwY3xkPORdI/AAAAAAAABUA/7XWR-M3wYI8/s1600/Nail+Blog+017.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WgoKrWPWBd4/TwY3xkPORdI/AAAAAAAABUA/7XWR-M3wYI8/s400/Nail+Blog+017.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"> The particular image I used allowed for mistakes because it was difficult to spot where I messed up unless you were looking closely. I was happy the way it turned out even though I had a few issues with my stamping, but like they say practice makes perfect. ^_^</div>Lindahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08796442272873185732noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7456293708353868540.post-5248336726323548012012-01-05T05:51:00.002-06:002012-01-05T20:06:45.178-06:00Dior Tuxedo I was really excited to get my hands on this polish, but I can't say I was excited once I was done applying it. The color is absolutely stunning. It's a deep navy blue with slight shimmer in the shade, but in bright lighting or the sun it just becomes a bright almost royal blue with shimmer. I loved looking at my nails every chance I got and I was even more thrilled that the polish was so pigmented that I only had to use one coat of polish. Sadly, I had the worst experience ever with this polish and I would be returning it if it wasn't that it was so incredibly pigmented. <br />
<br />
Let's start with the brush. The brush that comes with the Dior polishes is just like the brush in Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure and Insta-Dri polishes. I HATE that brush. It's just too thick and weirdly shaped, but that's just me. A brush itself isn't enough to deter me from a polish, because I can always properly do my nails no matter what size or shape a brush is as long as the formula is good. This is what Tuxedo lacked, dearly! The formula was so thick and gloopy and would NOT spread nicely. I am not one to complain when a polish dries fast, but Tuxedo was ridiculous! I had to apply huge globs of polish at a time to prevent it from drying too fast and it was just a mess. By my second hand I was already frustrated and ready to just chunk it, but the color was so beautiful that it kept me going just looking at it.<br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;">Macro shot of the brush. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cJ-vNGPgqOA/TwEpdwNqiGI/AAAAAAAABTM/JbpaUyOtoNg/s1600/Nail+Blog+171.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-cJ-vNGPgqOA/TwEpdwNqiGI/AAAAAAAABTM/JbpaUyOtoNg/s400/Nail+Blog+171.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

I used Wet n' Wild Black Creme as a base for both of them.<br />

What I really needed to do was a break from polish period, but I can't help my addiction. Anywho, I don't have the entire Burlesque Collection because I didn't think I "needed" it when it came out. Yea... BIG MISTAKE. Especially on the glitters. I have been lucky to still find some of the glitters available at some stores and that's the only reason why I have any of them.<br />

Since I took an unplanned break I didn't keep up with my blog, so the only information I have about the polishes is the name of them. <br />

I thought I would start off the year with Chanel's 2012 Spring Collection. Last year I think I bit off more than I could chew by attempting to go through so many untrieds during such a busy time, but my goal is to pick up where I left off and continue getting as many collections and untrieds posted. Swatching and taking pics is way more difficult than it seems, and I don't think people appreciate the work it takes until you do it yourself. I have become a lot of more comfortable now during the whole swatching and photography and was actually in a sort of groove, but I now have a new camera that I I'm still learning how to use. So, you will still see posts done with my old Sony Cybershot. <br />
<br />
It was necessary to use my dslr for this particular collection because my Sony refused to take color accurate pictures. The pictures are a bit crappy, but don't worry, I'm working on it.<br />
<br />
Ok, so on to the actual polishes. I was a bit bummed with the application on these. I don't have a lot of experience with Chanel, but I do expect the formula to be awesome when the polish is $25 a bottle. All three polishes kept wanting to bubble on me, so I had to be extra careful with application to avoid having them show up. June, however, was the worst. I had to wait for each layer to completely dry, otherwise the bubbles would peek through the layers. The neat thing about these polishes is the finish. All three have a jelly-creme look, so they look like cremes but have a slight squishy look to them.<br />
<br />
<div align="center"><br />
</div><div align="center">April was the reason why I needed this collection, since it is my birth month. Silly, I know! This one had the best pigmentation and only needed two coats to be opaque and also had the least amount of bubbling. I thought this one would be my favorite color out of all them, but it was actually my second favorite. It's a really beautiful burgundy color, but brighter which is very spring-like. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DgQ4jNYHTMA/TwD_onzaGII/AAAAAAAABOs/xUsj0JehGYc/s1600/Nail+Blog+144.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DgQ4jNYHTMA/TwD_onzaGII/AAAAAAAABOs/xUsj0JehGYc/s400/Nail+Blog+144.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">May is a bright yet dusty pink. Also had bubbling and it took three coats to get nice coverage. I can't believe I'm saying this, but it's now one of my favorite pinks. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8VTGQEpuDCo/TwD_8JgDBSI/AAAAAAAABO8/ir9O8OIhcwc/s1600/Nail+Blog+157.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8VTGQEpuDCo/TwD_8JgDBSI/AAAAAAAABO8/ir9O8OIhcwc/s400/Nail+Blog+157.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div align="center">June was my absolute favorite out of all three polishes. I am so happy I didn't skip on this one because I almost did! I'm not a big fan of orange polishes unless it's Halloween, but OMG this color is just amazing. Ok, so it's not exactly orange per say. It's more of a bright peachy color. The only bad thing was the formula! It was a major streakfest so I had to use four coats to get nice coverage. It was also time consuming since I had to wait for each layer to completely dry. -_-</div><div align="center"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0dHHYkVbO0Y/TwD_wYVEEzI/AAAAAAAABO0/2stYtelBxNs/s1600/Nail+Blog+150.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0dHHYkVbO0Y/TwD_wYVEEzI/AAAAAAAABO0/2stYtelBxNs/s400/Nail+Blog+150.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-8VTGQEpuDCo/TwD_8JgDBSI/AAAAAAAABO8/ir9O8OIhcwc/s1600/Nail+Blog+157.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a></div><br />
I can't say I regret buying these polishes, despite the troubles I had with the polishes. The colors aren't the most unique and can easily be duped, but what makes these polishes special to me is the finish. ^_^Lindahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08796442272873185732noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7456293708353868540.post-88193928922880422102011-12-16T05:41:00.000-06:002011-12-16T05:41:00.314-06:00Nicole by OPI Orna-ment for Each Other and Snow-Man of My Dreams These weren't polishes that I had originally planned on buying, but they just called me my name when I passed them by at Target. I didn't buy them all because there were only two polishes in the whole display! I wish I had found the gold one though, since I'm in a gold glitter phase at the the moment. <br />

</div> Sorry, to make this short and sweet, buuuut I'm working on my own snowman of dreams at the moment. My son has a snowman project that needs to be turned in by tomorrow and I am stuck doing it since he went to sleep around 4pm and still hasn't woke up! Oh, well I enjoy these projects. Most of the time at least. ^_^Lindahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08796442272873185732noreply@blogger.com2
