I have been on a blue kick since last week and this is one of my NOTD's I wore. It's Barielle Berry Blue with three other polishes layered on top. Yikes! I say yikes because when I layer, I normally don't do more than two polishes, but I was in a layering kind of mood. The other polishes I used were Nubar 2010, Kleancolor Chunky Holo Black and Kleancolor Chunky Holo Purple, in that order.
It was really amazing to see the different colors that the flakes and glitters reflected. I kept turning my hand to be able to view it at different angles. I attempted to catch all the different facets of this mani and I think I may have succeeded.
This first picture has a little bit of all the different colors.
Here the green is more pronounced. The green was my favorite!
It's a little dull here because of all the light in the background but this reddish looked really amazing, almost like a phoenix red in real life.
I would like to play around with more layerings, but the removal is a bit too much for me right now. I'm saving all my foil for my Lynnderella's! *insert evil laugh here*
*For those of you who don't yet know about the foil method for nail polish removal click here.
zomgz are you a psychic? I have a similar nail look scheduled for Saturday LOL! Mine's using the Bluebell Chunky Holo though. They look so similar! I can't even tell the difference :0 Actually no wait. You layered a few polishes LOL. But still!
ReplyDeleteDo you always use the foil technique? I've heard about it but I'm always too lazy to try it out so I always end up scrubbing all the glitter off, all the while thinking of how worth it, it is :P
Whoa, what are the odds of that happening? I bet yours will be a million times better though. My pics are so crappy compared to yours! Now I can't wait for Sat to roll around.
ReplyDeleteI tend to stick with the foil method because it causes less damage to the nail bed. You are so right though, glitter FTW!
Hahaha whatevs! Yours are really good too, I love looking at all the glitter particles in the first one! And actually now that I look at it, I realize that yours is different because there are big glitter pieces too!
ReplyDeleteOh nooooo does removing glitter polish the non foil way really cause damage to the nail bed?? :0
Hey, I have no problem admitting you're and awesome photographer! The bigger particles are from Chunky Black Holo, it's different than all the other Kleancolors.
ReplyDeleteYea, it damages the nail bed because the glitter is scraping against your nail bed when you're swiping it off.
