Hello Kitty by Sephora Noir Nail Polish Collection

Last year Sephora surprised us by coming out with a Hello Kitty collection right before the end of the year and surprised us even further when they announced it would be permanent. This year they came out with an addition to the collection, but Sephora is saying it will be limited edition. It is the Noir Collection and they came out with a new perfume, new mirrored compacts, a paddle brush, a comb, an eyeshadow and lip gloss palette etc. The list is very long on the new items added, but I only picked up the paddle brush and the nail polishes.

Night Sparkle is a black creme with gold microglitter. This is two coats no topcoat. I loved the formula on this one, it was so easy to work with.

Red Sparkle is a really dense glitter made up of micro and small red glitters. I used three coats and a coat of topcoat. I already have more red glitter nail polishes than I will ever use, but I just couldn't pass on this one.

Silver Star has medium holographic glitters in a dark grey glitter base. I also used three coats on this one, but another coat would have been better, since there were a few bald spots. This glitter combination also has a couple dupes in China Glaze Eye Candy and Sally Hansen Gem Crush.

Gold Sparkle is made up of gold and bronze microglitters. This was my favorite one out of all four polishes and it was the one I had initially skipped on. I used three coats and a coat of top coat.

I think Sephora really stepped up their game on this year's Hello Kitty nail polishes. The formula was a lot better on these than the ones from their permanent collection. The only thing is that these are a bit pricey at $10 per polish and there is no information about how much polish is in them, but it's definitely less than .5 oz. Still, the main reason why people buy these polishes is because of the insanely cute Hello Kitty shaped bottle and hardly care about the polish itself. ^_^

  2. Gahhhh these are all so pretty! I can't choose a favorite ^____^ The red and gold look like such perfect holiday colors!!
ITA--I really like how they stepped up their game w/more unique shades. Cause honestly, I'm not very impressed with the first set that released. I mean, they were cute, but the colors weren't unique at alllll and considering the price tag.. wack!

  3. @Arrow totally! At least that's the case with me. I just had to have them all.

@Eileen The gold is a must for me, but the others have several dupes out there already. So, true though about the price. $10 for regular cremes wasn't exactly worth it. I really just bought them for the bottle.
